The objective of the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) is to design and build rockets that fit different specifications given to us, such as speed, height, and hang time. We also sometimes have to devise a way to make two eggs survive a blast off and landing. We use rocket simulations to test different rocket designs and how our rockets would react to different types of weather. This way we don't waste as much time trying to figure out everything on our own while wasting resources. |

This year our challenge is to fly a one-stage model rocket to an altitude of 800 feet and keep it aloft for 43-47 seconds on a streamer recovery system, with the 2 eggs and altimeter are successfully recovered on any size parachute. |
