Annually our engineering students participate in the WT BEST (West Texas Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology) Robotics competition. BEST exposes high school students to the concepts of engineering and technology, while incorporating creativity and teamwork as well. Annually in September, teams of high school students receive a box of parts to design and build a remote-controlled robot to accomplish a specific task along with recording everything in a notebook (which can be viewed by clicking the link to the right). Over the next weeks, the teams design and build prototypes, stage mock competitions and compete against each other locally and then move on to a regional final and championship. The team attended the Kickoff at Frenship High School, on Saturday, September 17th to find out what the game would involve this year.  On November 5th, 2011, Frenship Engineering received high marks in every category at Regional competition, and is advancing to State on the 17th and 18th in Dallas, TX! This is the eighth out of nine years that the Frenship Engineering Robotics team has advanced to State.
